This Privacy Policy applies to the NSDMA Weather website (nsdmaweather.com) and the official Safer Nagaland mobile application ("App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. The App is developed and published by Liamliang Digital Avenue Private Limited , on behalf of the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department, Government of Nagaland.

1. Who We Are

The NSDMA Weather Portal and the Safer Nagaland App are operated by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA). The App is developed, published, and maintained by Liamliang Digital Avenue Private Limited. Postal address: NSDMA (Home Department), Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima, Nagaland, India.

The Safer Nagaland mobile application is developed and published on the Apple App Store and Google Play by Liamliang Digital Avenue Private Limited.

2. Scope

  • Website (nsdmaweather.com): Informational only; there is no user login.
  • Mobile App: Provides user accounts for personalized alerts and services.

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Website

We do not collect personally identifiable information from casual visitors. Standard technical logs may include IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited for security, functionality, and usage analytics.

3.2 Mobile App (on registration/login)

  • Account data: Email, phone (as provided), and credentials (stored securely).
  • Device data: device identifiers for push notifications and app security.
  • Location data: if you grant permission, we may use your location for location-based alerts.
  • Usage data: app interactions and diagnostic events to improve reliability.

4. How We Use Data

  • To provide weather information, early warning alerts, and related public-interest notifications.
  • To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability.
  • To improve features, coverage, and accessibility of the website and app.
  • To customize alerts (e.g., based on user location or preferences in the App).

5. Legal Basis & Purpose

Processing is performed in the public interest of disaster preparedness and risk reduction and/or with your consent where applicable (e.g., enabling location services). We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.

  • With authorized government departments and first responders strictly for disaster management purposes.
  • With vetted service providers (e.g., cloud, SMS/push notification, maps) bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

  • Withdraw location permissions via your device settings.
